Cork Tree Restaurant—$$$$

We visited the Cork Tree California Cuisine at the corner of Country Club and Cook St. last week with friends. Our original plans were to go to Chef George. Their website said they were open on Sunday and they are not. So off to the Cork Tree we went!

They have a lovely outside space but the high winds forced us inside. The indoor space is well appointed and comfortable. We were seated right away.

The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. We started with the Mushroom soup (not pictured) and Beet salad. I had to send my soup back to be reheated and it was quickly returned hot. The soup and salad were very tasty. For entrees we had the crab cakes (ordered as an appetizer), the crab and Poached Lobster Stack (not pictured) and the Icelandic salmon. All items were very good and would be reordered on our next visit. They have a large wine list and several interesting cocktails and mocktails.

If you are looking for a special dinner for a birthday, anniversary or holiday I would recommend the Cork Tree.
