Mimmo’s Italian Restaurant & Bar $$-$$$

A fine Italian restaurant with cozy interior, separate bar and dining and several rooms. The Happy Hour and Dinner menus are quite diverse including appetizers, pasta, pesce, carne and dolce. One of my favorites, Sand Dabs, must be tried on the next visit. Dinner started with a good-sized serving of bread with an average pesto dip. Our waiter was excellent, but the bus staff was a bit abrupt and I needed to request a spoon for pasta several times. One of our party ordered Homemade Tagliatelle with Mushrooms, peas, ham and cream sauce. Well prepared with al dente pasta and creamy sauce. I ordered Capellini Picchiu-Pacchiu V which was a savory blend of angel hair pasta, fresh tomatoes, garlic and basil. Quite a fine blend of flavors when topped with a pinch of parmesan. The house Chianti was very nice and fairly priced. Better than the average Italian food and a good location for an event.
