Here’s to the ladies who lunch, and to those who like to try a top rated restaurant for more reasonable prices. My friend Nancy was excited to introduce me to The Pink Cabana which is a good thing since I never would have found it on my own being tucked behind Sands Hotel and Spa. Once inside the door from a parking lot you cross through a spa and charming garden surrounding a swimming pool. The interior design of the restaurant reflected an artist’s touch.
The website states: “The Pink Cabana has received world-renowned accolades from Condé Nast Traveler, LA Times, Forbes, and many others. Chef Jason Niederkorn creates an ingredient-driven menu featuring Mediterranean cuisine with a Moroccan influence.”
The roasted tomato gazpacho appealed to me with the optional Dungeness crab added. I’m a seafood junkie. Next time I’ll try the Dungeness crab roll. Nancy had the Moroccan Club for a second time.
On the fun side there is a menu of very creative cocktails, and since ladies at lunch like adventurers in drinking, we each picked a different one to try them out: she ordered the Cabana Colada and I the Farmer’s Market Margarita. Both yummy.
And now for dessert since I didn’t overdo lunch. We shared a Key lime pie. Excellent choice.
The service was great and servers very helpful. Yes, we shall return.
